We are encouraging you to really go all out for the Jubilee 50th anniversary of YWAM. It really is an important year for us in YWAM and we have a list of activities that you can do for each month. In order to make sure that everything happens as it is supposed to, you will need to appoint someone (or a team of people) who would be responsible for making sure these things happen. Not that they do everything, but that they would be the ones who would rope people in to do the 50th Anniversary activities and make sure that each month the suggested activity is communicated to the rest of the people at your location.
Please pray about who this person can be and let us get excited about celebrating the whole year!
to kick this year off, lets get together with another location, either physically or virtually, and have the YWAM monthly prayer day together!! This location can be a location in your country or another country! We would like to see this become a habit for the rest of the year as well, as the GLT have been stressing that these prayer days were meant to bring us together as a mission and we should share in this special time together! It isn’t hard to get together virtually over skype for instance! But also try during the year to do it in person.
Take this month and think about another location... think about their needs or what their needs could be. And send them a gift, either a physical object, or a financial gift, or maybe even some of your skills that you have, offer those up. (i.e. you can fix cars, offer to fix a broken base vehicle, or you can design a DTS ad or base ad... offer to design it for another location...)
Take this month and write as many thank you notes to as many people as you can. Do this as a team, even do it personally! Thank people for sticking by you over the years, thank them for support, thank them for their role in your life... just thank them! Don't forget those closest to you, and those on the other side of the world. Be thankful and let this attitude saturate you over this month!
Come to the CE 50th Gathering in Romania and bring as many people with you as possible! Prepare to celebrate God's faithfulness together with the whole region! Come as the whole team... as the whole family... leave no one out! Come and be refreshed and join us in looking back and looking ahead!
This month meet as a team to just go over your mission and vision statements.... if you don't have either of these, write these. If you already have a mission and vision statement... read over it, spend some time in prayer together, and make sure that this is really still your mission and vision... or if you have gone off track, get back on track and continue on! Don't be afraid to re-write, or just re-committ to what God has called your team to!
have a DTS Reunion- invite former DTS students to come and have a party with them... talk about all that happened on the DTS, share stories, find out where they are at now and what they are doing... and just encourage one another. Enjoy this time and really create a celebration!
Take to the streets to do some evangelism, maybe some good old fashion evangelism... our challenge is to as a team to speak to 50 people!!! Don't forget that we are here to share the love of Jesus, and this can look very different and can be done in many different ways.... when was the last time you went on outreach to your own city???
At some point this month go either as a whole team, OR send at least two people from your team to another location... maybe this is a location that you know is quite isolated or doesn't get a lot of visitors, maybe it is just some place you have never been... whatever the situation- go to that location and be a blessing... encourage the team there, pray for them, maybe even partner with them on future projects or activities. Lets not go into the next 50 years with any location feeling all alone or totally isolated!
When was the last time you shared about YWAM and missions in general in your home church or other churches in your city or area of influence? Take this month and as a team or smaller teams go to the different churches and talk about YWAM and what you are doing there and around the world. (see past issues of CE Newsletter for some stories from other locations around the region) Communicate clearly what is it you are doing, what God has called you to... challenge them to partner with you if they are not already, and most of all give a challenge into missions... think about mobilizing people into missions, within YWAM or some other organization. Even though we need more staff... God is bigger than YWAM and part of the Call 2 All starts with us just encouraging more people into missions!
This month, actually the week of the 18th-24th... we would like you to prepare Thank you Meals to those who have been involved with YWAM as we have worked or partnered with over the years... possibly if more people have joined as a result of the previous month, invite them too! Really love on these people, have a sort of "Love Feast" where you just pour out blessing and many thanks for them standing with you over the years and let them know you would be honored to have them partner with you in the coming years!
This month as a team, have a look over the YWAM Values. Don't forget that these are not just some nice list of values that we can use when we want to- these are what we live by. Take one, maybe one that has been a bit lacking on your team, or one that is sometimes overlooked and really focus on this Value during the month. (As an extra challenge, we would like to ask you and your team to share with us which value you have chosen... and then your thoughts about that value and how you are living it out. This can be done in story form, writing, video, photos... be creative!!)

-Nervous system - pray for ICN & CRIT and for our own Communication team!
-crossing the jordan
-Ships and boats
-Unusal disagreements

And then we want you to look at these... see how far we have come as a region in the last 20 years... and look together into the future and seek out what God would have for you as a team, as a region, as YWAM... you can open this up to wider than the team as well, maybe some fresh input from people outside of YWAM could help stir new vision and fresh perspective!
-Do something communication related, improve your communication, commit to communication, find some one to serve in communication on your team or at your base... maybe even identify someone as a communication contact person for your nation! (if you do this please contact Rebecca)
-Read up and pray about taking part in the Call 2 All
-Pray in each Omega zone in your country (see 4K) over the whole year
-Pray for reconciliation and make sure that you are right with any relationships past and present!
-if you have other great ideas, please share them on the web so others can maybe do the same... have you done some of these already, share about them so we can share in the blessing and all be encouraged!
